Naturopathic physcian

Licensed acupuncturist

A LIFETIME OF LEARNING

I'm a licensed naturopathic physician, integrative medicine provider, and acupuncturist. I grew up in Southwestern Connecticut and received my undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Connecticut. I went on to earn my doctorate in naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington and master's degree in acupuncture from the Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine. I completed residency training in naturopathic family medicine and pediatrics in Seattle, WA and went on to receive the designation Fellow to the American Board of Naturopathic Pediatrics. In addition, I am a founding member of the Psychiatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians. I have received advanced training in clinical nutrition, endocrinology, reproductive medicine, dermatology, and pediatrics.  I strongly believe in the naturopathic principle of docere, a Latin word that means “to teach”. To this end, most people find their visits with me educational and I like to take the time to explain to you my thought process and help you understand your medical care. I also have been a clinical and academic professor at the University of Bridgeport, teaching naturopathic medical students anatomy, neurology, pediatrics, public health, nutrition, and clinical decision making skills.

THE VALUE IN WORKING WITH ME

I am a diagnostic detective. I like to dig deep. I care about not only what's wrong, but WHY it's gone wrong. I want to hear your story, not just see your lab results.

I believe in short-term and long-term solutions - sometimes we need a bandaid, but if we just keep slapping them on we stop recognizing ourselves. True change and lasting health require effort and investment. Working with me is an opportunity to take charge of your health or your child's health in a committed, dedicated way. Partnering with me in health means that you'll not only have a doctor in your corner, but a teacher and coach bent on helping you understand your unique route to wellness and encouraging you through the rough spots.

WHAT I DO BEST

By blending naturopathic, conventional, and East Asian medicine I am able to offer those that work with me expanded options of care and reveal how different symptoms and concerns are very often interconnected and the sign of something much deeper than a pill prescription. As your physician I aim to help you make sense of your health concerns and I strive to provide you with information you can rely on.

Dr. Alicia LaPolice

master’s in nutrition

I am a naturopathic doctor practicing in Fairfield County since 2021. My expertise is in nutrition, gastrointestinal health, hormonal balance, integrative fertility, and metabolic wellness. I combine scientific research and evidence-based natural therapies with a compassionate approach to patient care.

I began my academic journey at the University of Rhode Island, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Microbiology. I then continued my studies at the University of Bridgeport, where I completed a Master’s in Nutrition and a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. My thesis focused on the extensive health benefits of sauna therapy, which I incorporate as a valuable tool in my practice.

Driven by a lifelong passion for science, wellness, and exploration, I am dedicated to engaging with patients, understanding their unique stories, and offering meaningful support. I am committed to addressing each patient's individual needs and health goals through personalized, holistic care in a supportive environment.

What patients are saying...

“Thanks again for all your help in the last few months. I’m sure you’ve helped a lot of people in your time, but know for sure that you really changed things for two young women and their worried mother.”-3.png
