Insurance & Service Fees

Our naturopathic physicians and acupuncturists are in-network with the following health insurance plans:

Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield of CT
Cigna
Aetna
Oxford


As a courtesy to you, we will bill your insurance company for services provided to you. You will be responsible for any copay due at the time of service, and you may be billed later for remaining balances due to deductibles or coinsurance. Please consult with your individual insurance policy to verify your naturopathic and acupuncture coverage, so that you are aware of your responsibilities. Insurance may not cover all fees, such as outside labs that are considered investigational. We will do our best to make you aware of these non-covered fees ahead of time, so that you can choose if you'd like to proceed.

Our massage therapy services are NOT covered by insurance.

We are out-of-network providers with all other health insurance plans at this time. If you have insurance, we are happy to help you receive reimbursement for your allowable out-of-network benefits, and for the growing number of individuals with HSA and FSA plans, these benefits are also accepted. 

Please call your insurance carrier to confirm coverage. Ask if Dr. Misset is in your network, if you have naturopathic coverage, acupuncture coverage, and if so, then ask the number of allowable visits per year. Many insurance carriers consider naturopathic physicians to be "specialists" and will cover visits just like going to visit the gynecologist or dermatologist. However, some plans consider it part of "alternative care" like chiropractic and massage and limit the number of visits per year or charge additional health insurance fees for this coverage. You are responsible for knowing your coverage and benefits. 


All copays and fees are due at the time of service. Cash, major credit cards, checks, Health Savings Accounts (HSA), and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) are accepted forms of payment. 


Cancellation Policy

Cancellation policy: We require 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or change your appointment time, or a $150 charge will incur for new patient appointments or a $75 charge will incur for return patient appointments.
